Our year is quickly coming to a finish however we still have a few things to learn!

Reminder: our field trip to Upper Canada Village is this Wed. The weather is predicted to be very warm with possible rain. Please dress for the weather. Please check emails sent on Monday to all parents letting them know what to send with their child for Wed.

Harry Potter Party - June 17th
Students are asked to arrive at school wearing a white shirt if possible or other wizard attire! We would love to make our party very special for your children and we need your help please. A big part of the Harry Potter world centres around the feast in the great hall at Hogwarts. We will be transforming our classrooms into this hall and would love if students were able to bring their own special lunch with a few Harry Potter themed items. Since we are not able to share food within the classroom, (many various allergies etc.) we encourage you to be as creative as possible with your own child's lunch and snacks that day. Here are a few suggested websites where you can get some great ideas: 

Language: We continue to work on writing information (gathered through various websites) in our own words rather than copying directly from the source (plant & instrument projects). We are also presenting and sharing our gathered information to our classmates so they can learn from us!

Music: We are learning about the different families of instruments, some of the elements of music and creating our own musical compositions.

Science: We are beginning our learning about structures.

Looking Ahead:

Wed., June 10th: Gr. 3 trip to Upper Canada Village - return at 4p.m. (parents must come to the school to pick up)
Wednesday, June 17: Harry Potter Party
Thursday, June 25: Last day of school
