In Language, we will finish up learning about the key features of a narrative story (characters, setting, problem, solution, and plot). We hope to begin working on our own narrative stories this week.
Mathematics: We started our division unit before the break. Practicing times tables (as well as division facts) everyday will help us know our facts and be more prepared to continue our learning in grade 4!
Science: This will be our final week learning about forces. Our next Science unit will be all about plants.

In preparation for EQAO, as mentioned before the break, we will be sending work packages home each Friday that must be returned the following Friday (we will be taking them up as a class so students learn where extra review is needed). We encourage children to complete 1-2 pages per night. If they are unable to answer a few of the questions, please do not worry as we will review and explain them fully on Fridays. Booklets must be returned - finished or not- on the due date, so students can write down or correct their answers when we take the questions up as a whole group.
The first EQAO package will be sent home on Friday, March 27 and will be due back to school on Thursday, April 2 (this is a change from above as we will not be at school on Friday, April 3).
Thank you for your support in helping us to prepare your children for the provincial test that will occur in May.
Looking Ahead:
Friday, April 3rd: Good Friday (No School)
Monday, April 4th: Easter Monday (No School)
Monday, April 27th: PD Day (No school for students)
Monday, April 27th: PD Day (No school for students)
