January 5-9, 2026

Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy, healthy and blessed 2026!

Sunday, January 4th is the Epiphany of our Lord. We remember the three Wise Men following the star to baby Jesus, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. What gifts will we give to Jesus this year? Will we choose to embrace his light and share it with the world?

Important Dates:
Monday, January 5th - return to school

Our learning this week:
Language: We are hoping to begin work on the comparison of fiction vs non-fiction, writing features as well as some goal setting. We don't have any new word wall words this week.

Math: We are continuing our study of 3-D solids unit this week. We are learning to sort, construct, and identify cubes, prisms, pyramids, cylinders, and cones by comparing their faces, edges, vertices, and angles.

Science: We are continuing to work on our unit on Forces. We are learning more about magnetic force this week.

Family Life: We have a new Family Life Program called Blessed and Beloved. Please look for a family note coming home this week about our new unit. With each new unit we will send home an update and post the Faith on the Fridge link (see below) on our blog for you to print out at home!

We are excited to be back and are looking forward to sharing the learning and discoveries of 2026!
