It is important that you have paid your child's Student Activity Fee (via School Cash Online) so that they can attend this fun adventure with us. If you are not on our list, unfortunately, we will not be able to include you as a volunteer for our trip. We will send out more information and permission forms closer to the date!***
Language: This week we are continuing to work on our narrative stories. Next we will start our persuasive writing unit. We will be writing convincing arguments and counter arguments. April is also Poetry month - we will be writing different forms of poetry all month! This week we are reading Chapters 4&5 of Harry Potter. We continue to learn about various grammar rules for writing and how to determine important ideas when reading texts.
Mathematics: We finished our unit on fractions and will begin our unit on time. Students must know time to the hour, minute, and have an understanding of seconds.
Science: We will continue our learning about plants.
***EQAO Practise booklet #2 is due back to school on Friday (April 10). Please ensure your child brings their booklet back for our consolidation even if they have not finished all of the pages. We will be taking up each question and it is easier for them if they have the paper copy to follow along with!***
